John Applebloom –
Another one of the block busters of Tom Ford with a name that plays on words in a most teenager kind of way. In any case, the perfume is an interesting fruity gourmand if you like that kind of thing. Initially I didn’t have benzaldehyde and tried with other similar bitter molecules such as anethol (anise), acetophenone (herbal) and that mixture is now a lovely bath soap.
I now have benzaldehyde and have made it sticking to the formula here and when smelling on one hand this formula and on the other the original (I bought a vial out of curiosity), you end up with almost mirror images both in terms of smell and in performance. If gourmand is your thing, it is worth getting the formula.
