There aren’t many ways that JCE can create something I do not like so it is no surprise that i am in love with this one. Especially given that he is making use of an ingredient that he normally does not like – sandalwood (he has said he prefers cedar wood). Santal Massoia is such an interesting perfume as it retains its ethereal quality while at the same time maintains a solid projection and texture that feels like a luxurious cashmere sweater – thin but warm, woody but soft. This is a superb formula and although there will be variations because of the use of naturals (and the quality of natural sandalwood can have huge impact on the composition), it is very difficult to screw up the main concept here. I am in love!

Brilliantly done formula! The simplicity of JCE formulas is always surprising. This smells absolutely on point. I found myself surprised by the elements that created the green, coconutty, creamy, sandalwood vibe…but once I compounded it, it totally made sense. Well done and, if you’re a fan of the scent, worth nabbing!
