A rare masterpiece that goes without recognition. I was quite surprised when I saw the formula – huge chunks of various musks, and then strongly supported by woody white florals which are, however, not rounded off with the usual white floral smells but with warm spices. One of the special addition here (methyl paracresol) is for me personally what makes this unique – the barnyard smell melds so well with the rest of the formula that it makes this addictive!

Beautiful and quite close to the original! Was surprised to see how little actual cassie absolute there is in this (though I should have expected as much!). It’s amazing how the scent profile of the flowers is conjured by a beautiful synergy of musks, ionone, and other things. Lovely, original, animalic. Definitely a Malle masterpiece and well rendered here with this formula.
