It is a funny thing – this perfume is a reminder that many things can make you sneeze and not only ground black pepper. It is a wonderful cold and bracing spice cupboard – somewhere between white pepper and clove – and it is quite extraordinary that such an image will be created smelling this little white thing with a formula that is full of rather conventional ingredients. Be prepared for a spice overload without any of the usual sweet or musky undertones – here it is all about bitter woods, and the careful cooling of what are normally hot spices.
