En Passant is a Floral Green fragrance for women.
A beautiful spring garden, a moment of absolute happiness (“En passant” is French for “passing through”) served as an inspiration for Olivia Giacobetti to create this simple and tender composition from Frederic Malle’s favorite (according to interview) flower – lilac, surrounded by watery and green notes, cucumber and wheat.

A few weeks ago, the lilacs in our neck of hte woods were in full bloom just when I mixed this and started studying it. It is not a photorealistic lilac but it is a lilac done in the excellent light and transparent but not fleeting or disappearing signature approach of Olivia G. This is beautiful as a smell – in fact so much so that it makes you wonder if it is too beautiful to be worn. Would make for a great ambiance / room spray. Excellent formula.
