Un Jardin après la Mousson: created in 2008, it explores the facets of an unexpected India, when the monsoon restores to the earth what the sun has taken, chasing away the burning breath of drought. Ginger, cardamom, coriander, pepper and vetiver speak of the rebirth of nature captured in Kerala, a universe engorged with water.

I have a special appreciation for Hermes perfumes especially because, together with Chanel, I think they have the best coherence in style and vision. This is, probably, one of the odd ones in the Hermes range because it has a level of abstraction of water that has not been seen since L’Eau D’Issey. This is not as popular as other Jardins but it is said that was one of Jean-Claude Ellena’s favourite creations. It is an abstraction of the feeling of rain and the monsune – I’ve been to South East Asia at the end of the season and this makes me travel every time. There are two ingreidents that for me a super interesting – one is vetiver which makes a critical part of the base here. The other one is helional which is one of the keys for another JCE perfume (Bvlgari Eau Parfumee). So beautiful!
