The criticism on the internet of this leaves me a little puzzled. People seem to love ouds but this one they say is a miss? That’s odd – most ouds are to my nose uninteresting – they are smells but not perfumes. Synthetic Jungle is not a smell, it is perfume – the gripping nature of green leaves being crushed between the teeth leaving not only the taste of green on the tongue but also the acidic, chalky and scratchy headiness that comes when you eat something that you know might be poisonous but you cannot bring yourself to spit out. I understand how this is not for every body but it should be for everybody who is studying perfumery.
