Now this is interesting. You all know the history of this scent and that it was an offshoot of the famous Feminite Du Bois. This is something that makes it both easy and hard to replicate. Easy because the structure is so distinct that it is instantly recognizable when you put together iso e super, cumin aldehyde, and ionones. But what makes it hard is to get the balance of all of these sufficiently plus all the other ingredients allowing this to be a fully-round perfume. This formula is here is one of the better formulas out there I’ve seen which is putting the focus on the ionones. And it is beautiful and magical and purple!

From the first sight it was obvious to me that its not gonna smell like Bois de Violette but I decided to try it anyway. Well, I was right. Due to overdose of some strong components it just cant smell like Feminite du Bois or Bois de violette. It smells okay but it is too far from original smell. I wouldnt recomend this formula if you want to recreate Serge Lutens.
