I am not the biggest fan of Allure overall (Chanel’s masculines are to my nose predominantly derivative which is probably a misjudgement given that they were the ones who started the trends – see Bleue as an example). But Allure has an interesting quality to it that it is right between the balsamic and the detergent fresh dihydromyrcenol overdose. I cannot compare the outcome of this formulae to the Chanel version as I do not have it at hand but the result of the formula is consistent with my memory – perhaps even a bit better as I always thought the Chanel was a bit too sweet when smelled close by. The clary sage in this formulae really does a magic – you need to give it time to settle before passing judgement.
