I am the last person to ever like an Oud perfume. And perhaps this is precisely why Agar Ebene works for me – it is a very subtle Oud almost to the point of being categorized as something entirely different from Oud. It is a subtle musky perfume with woody nuances which are borderline cologne like and that’s what makes it a very elegant Oud – something I cannot say about other ouds. Very true to the original Hermes. If I was asked to identify it in style, I would probably not put it in the same category as other Hermessence perfumes (similar to Cedre Sambac – it doesn’t scream the same level of refinement) but it is opening the market for sure. Great formula and quite simple! Tip: increase the fir balsam to your liking 😉
