John Applebloom –
Lavender is a particular favorite of mine. From the sweet one in Caron pour un homme, through the herbal one in A Taste of Heaven, and through the dry one in Gris Clair (not yet for sale here unfortunately), all the way to this – the magical combination of a church in the middle of a lavender field. I’ve been fascinated by this perfume ever since its release and when I first smelled it so many years ago. When I got into the hobby, I was desperately trying to learn how to recreate it and thanks to this formula, I could understand the magic – cyclogalbanat. Ironically, what is often associated with pineapple, turns into a reinforces and bridge-builder between the lavender and the olibanum here (among a few other rather conventional ingredients). Absolute magic and a fantastic formula – thank you, C for sharing that!
