John Applebloom (verified owner) –
Colognes can be boring. In fact most of them are not meant to be interesting in the first place – they are just there for a fleeting moment to give a jolt of smile and to fade away until the next application. Not this one – CI is first and foremost a technical perfume. It is not a cologne, it is a perfume that intends to be smelled for a long time and the magic of this intention is achieved by the use of modern musks – two of them that comprise a humungous portion of the formula. The rest is a rather conventional balancing of the familiar ingredients for neroli and orange flower illusions – not much herbs, not much sweetness, not much aldehyde. Pure and simple. It would make for an excellent laundry detergent. An excellent technical study.
