A vintage classic whose formula has been rehashed multiple times before. And like all others, this one highly depends on the sandalwood ingredient used – real sandalwood or one of the many replacements. Whichever one you go for, this is a rather good formula and study and I love it having used Mysore Base myself. And this is a better version that any of the others I’ve tried so far. Beautiful unisex wood!

Bois des Iles is one of my favorite perfumes. This version is better than the current edp (which has become too aromachemical and muddy). Using the best quality sandalwood is important as that is the star. I tweaked the formula with a little ambre solide, ambreol, and a touch of persicole. Really beautiful!
